Why You Should Visit Ninh Binh

Known locally as “Ha Long Bay on Land”, Ninh Binh is characterized by hundreds of limestone karsts—dotted throughout the rice paddies—and winding turquoise rivers. The region is located in North-East Vietnam and has a real dream-like quality, which you will be able to feel as soon as you arrive.

Impressive Landscapes

Ninh Binh is blessed with a landscape that can only be described as otherworldly. Imagine vast rice fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, shimmering rivers that wind their way through the countryside, and majestic limestone mountains that rise dramatically into the clouds

Rich in History

Aside from containing some of the most beautiful landscapes in Vietnam, Ninh Binh is also home to numerous historical sites, pagodas, and temples

Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le dynasties in the 10th and 11th centuries, holds the well-preserved temples of the kings from this period. The intricate architecture and peaceful surroundings of these historical landmarks provide a serene and reflective experience for visitors.

Additionally, the hike up to Hang Mua cave offers not only a panoramic view of the region, including the Lotus Pond, but also a journey through cultural and historical landmarks.

Ninh Binh is a paradise for adventurers and nature lovers

Both options include a variety of activities from navigating the winding waterways of Trang An to exploring the caves of Tam Coc, there's no shortage of adventures to be had.

And when you’ve finished your day trip and you’re all worn out, you can hop back on the bus and relax all the way back to Hanoi. Rather than trying to navigate Vietnam’s confusing transport system by yourselves—another plus of booking a tour with Bong Hostel!
