Complete Itinerary for the Ha Giang Loop
Now we’re about to share with you all the information you didn't know you needed about the Ha Giang loop and our complete itinerary.
Day 1: Ha Giang to Yen Minh (90 km)
8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Breakfast at Bong Hostel
Start your day with a hearty—and free—breakfast at Bong Hostel. Choose from pancakes, waffles, or eggs, accompanied by a selection of fresh locally sourced fruit and juice.
9:15 AM: Motorbike Check
At 9:15 am, those of you who have booked the self-driving Ha Giang Loop tour, will join our motorbike lesson so we can check your abilities. Whilst we call this a lesson, it is only a 15-minute practice to give you a chance to get used to our bikes.
But as much as this is a chance for you to familiarize yourself with the equipment, it's also a chance for us to assess your abilities. If at any point you want to change your package to an easy rider tour after this warm up then just chat to one of our team once you’ve finished.
Likewise if we are concerned about your abilities, we may chat to you privately afterwards so that together we can come to a conclusion that keeps everyone safe and happy!
At the end of the day, at Bong Hostel your safety is paramount!
10:00 AM: Loop Briefing and Departure from Bong Hostel
Are you ready for your Ha Giang Loop tour to begin?
At 10:00 am sharp (don’t be late now!) one of our volunteers will give you the lowdown on what will happen throughout your tour—this is the perfect chance to ask any questions you may have!
Then it's time for your most important lesson: after a quick introduction to your tour leader, you will learn how to say cheers in Vietnamese!
After that it's party time! Grab your bags and get those helmets on—to the backdrop of our ‘Hype Before the Loop’ playlist—as you head out the door and meet your easy riders—or your motorbike, self-riders!
As you ride out of Ha Giang, you’ll feel the anticipation build as you pass the town market and cross the river onto the winding roads of the Ha Giang Loop!
1:00 PM: Lunch at Tam Son Town
After a morning of riding through the mountains you will stop for lunch at Tam Son Town. Enjoy local delicacies while taking in the stunning scenery.
